Prayer Of Jabez

I was reading this book earlier today entitled "Prayer of Jabez for Teens". Yes, I know that I'm already past my teenage years but hell, age is just a matter of numbers and digits...

Anyway, I came upon two sentences from the book, it's a verse from the Bible that could definitely inspire us to live life each day. The first one is some sort of an inspirational quote teaches us not to look back 'coz we might just stumble and fall and to just instead look and move forward:

"One thing that I do is forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call for God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14)

The second verse, also from the Bible is a short prayer by Jabez, one of the characters that I bet you've never heard of. Well same here, I didn't even think that a man named Jabez has lived before in the history of the Bible and prayed this to God:

"Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" (1 Chronicles 4:9-10)

A very simple prayer that really speaks a lot and I'll be praying that same prayer starting today. Hello world! It's now a brand new start.
